Automated line for surface protection of steel and aluminum using electrophoretic painting technology(KTL)

The painting process using KTL, cathodic dip coating, or electrophoretic deposition is an immersion painting process that is fully automated and uses electric current to deposit the paint film.

Equipment and technology:

Surface pretreatment system by immersion:

degreasing, rinsing, pickling (deoxidation), rinsing, activation, tricationic zinc phosphating, (steel) rinsing, chrome-free passivation(steel), chemical conversion (aluminum) rinsing with demineralized water.

The KTL immersion line:

cathodic dip coating bath, ultrafiltration baths ,Polymerization oven, The automatic transport system, The waste water treatment plant.

Technical data for KTL painting line:
-the maximum size of the piece: 2200x850x1800 mm
-the maximum weight of the piece: max 700 kg
-painting capacity: 180-200 m2/hour-cataphoretic
-paint: Powercron 6000HE epoxy type, semi-gloss black color

-layer thickness: 15-25 microns
-gloss (ISO 2813) -50-70%
-adhesion (ISO 2409) -GT0
-corrosion resistance:> 1000 hours salt sprayaccording ISO 9227, ASTM G85 -Annex 3 -SWAAT, ASTM B117
-high resistance to chemical substances (oils, fuels, brake fluid,cleaning liquids, etc.)

Thesteel/aluminum pretreatment system can also be combined with powder coating (applied in electrostatic field).
